James Franklin, dressed as the Easter Bunny, tackles piñata

Easter traditions vary from family-to-family, but for the family of Penn State coach James Franklin, Easter becomes a combination of the softness of the Easter Bunny with the gruffness of football.

And the result is pretty spectacular.

The Franklin family hosted an Easter event for local children and Franklin showed up to the party as the Easter Bunny. As Franklin (aka the Easter Bunny) lined up to take a swing at the Easter piñata (because who doesn’t have an Easter piñata?) he audibled and ran at the swinging cardboard rabbit full bore.

Yay candy!

And pain, a little pain.

As one onlooker noted, Franklin looked like he knocked the wind out of himself, which was entertaining to the adult onlookers.

But hey, anything for the kids, right?
